The Architectural Awards Program is presented by the Architecture Foundation of B.C. (AFBC) with support from the founding organization, the Architectural Institute of B.C. (AIBC). The awards program showcases the best in architecture by Architects AIBC. While honours are given out in a number of distinct award categories, there is one common element: Excellence.

Award Category Description

The Design Excellence Awards recognize the outstanding talent of British Columbia’s architects. Design Excellence is awarded to projects that enhance the built environment, the experience of space and place, and reflect high standards of design quality, vision, and skill.

Submission Fees

Firm Tier 1 (AIBC-regulated architectural firms with 50+ employees) : $350 + GST, Firm Tier 2 (AIBC-regulated architectural firms with 11-49 employees) – $250 + GST, Firm Tier 3 (AIBC-regulated architectural firms with 1-10 employees, as well as allied firms of all sizes) – $150 + GST.
