The Ontario Wood WORKS! Wood Design Awards honour the creators of new projects that push the limits of wood design in structures that demonstrate excellence in the use of wood. Winning projects will showcase the special qualities of wood such as strength, durability, beauty, versatility, and cost-effectiveness. Projects will be located within the province of Ontario.

Award Category Description

Mid-rise wood construction in Ontario is taking off as developers, owners, project teams and municipalities fully realize the significant cost, environmental, and construction benefits mid-rise wood buildings provide. Project types considered in this category include commercial applications, offices, stores, malls, condominiums, multi-family residential, resorts, and other public buildings. Projects must be of structural wood construction, 4-6 storeys in height.
